10-Year Panel Warranty

At Builders Express Sydney West, we stand behind the quality of our products. This warranty outlines our commitment to ensuring that your experience with our wall panels is nothing short of exceptional. Please read through the following terms and conditions carefully.

Coverage:

Builders Express provides a 10-year warranty, effective from the date of supply, guaranteeing that our wall panels will remain free from blistering, or delamination. We ensure that our panels maintain their waterproof integrity, contingent upon correct fitting and sealing in accordance with our provided guidelines.

Exclusions and Limitations:

It’s important to note certain conditions that may void this warranty:

  • Misuse, negligence, or accidents involving the panels by you or any third party.
  • Damage during transit or upon receipt, unless noted as unchecked upon delivery.
  • Modification, repair, or alteration of the panel surface by you or any third party.
  • Faulty installation or improper storage practices by you or any third party.
  • Use of incorrect cleaning products, such as bleach or other chemicals by you or any third party.
  • Water ingress due to inadequate sealing at the bottom of panels.
  • Affixing panels to buildings experiencing structural issues.
  • Incorrect maintenance or storage practices, such as leaning panels against walls or balancing them on trestles.
  • Failure to remove protective film and conduct necessary pre-installation checks.

This warranty applies solely to the panels themselves and does not extend to silicone or sealing applications. Additionally, it does not cover any issues arising from failure to remove the protective film or check for flaws or defects in laminate, color matching, and sheen levels prior to installation.

Claims pertaining to the following will not be covered once panels are installed:

  • Arrival of products in good condition.
  • Flaws or defects in laminate.
  • Color shade matching and sheen levels.
  • Approval of colors by end users if panels are fitted by a third-party tradesman.
  • Dry fitting of T & G panels to ensure tight joints.

Please note that this guarantee applies only to normal domestic use and does not extend to commercial or exceptionally high use installations.

The original warranty value decreases over time based on ownership duration. When a claim is made, the warranty value is calculated as a percentage of the number of years owned, reducing by 10% per calendar year from the purchase date. This warranty covers product replacement only, excluding labor costs. Services provided under this warranty do not extend the original warranty period.

Liability and Warranty Terms:

Our liability under this warranty is limited to replacing the panels or refunding the purchase price as a store credit. Builders Express is not the manufacturer of the panels supplied, and our liability is in accordance with applicable laws. This warranty is valid and enforceable only in Australia.
Builders Express shall not be held liable under this warranty for any damages, losses, expenses, or costs, including indirect or consequential losses, arising from panel failure or defects in materials and workmanship. Our responsibility under this warranty is limited to either replacing or repairing the defective panel at no charge to you or providing a refund for the price paid for the wall panels only, excluding any delivery or fitting costs incurred during the purchase.

Notwithstanding any other clause in this warranty, Builders Express’ liability arising from, under, or in connection with this warranty will be capped at the total replacement value of the panels.

Claim Process:

To initiate a claim under this warranty, please promptly contact Builders Express via telephone on 02 9636 8700 or email Customer Service at info@wetareapanels.com.au. You will need to provide a copy of your invoice, proof of payment, and photographs of the panels in question. Once we receive your claim, Builders Express will arrange for a panel inspection and fulfill our warranty obligations accordingly.

Please note that any costs incurred in claiming under this warranty will be borne by you and are not recoverable from Builders Express. We or our representative shall have a reasonable time to address valid claims. In the event of an invalid claim, Builders Express reserves the right to charge the prevailing call-out fee.

By making a claim under this warranty, you agree to accept the terms and conditions outlined herein.

Product Care:

To ensure the longevity of your panels, please adhere to the following care instructions:

  • Our panels are not suitable for outdoor use and should be kept out of direct sunlight.
  • Use only mild detergent and water with a soft cloth for cleaning; avoid abrasive materials or bleach-based cleaning fluids.
